- More balanced moods and energy

Through practicing yoga we can create a more harmonious relationship with ourselves and with those around us.

And by learning to breathe, move and focus with awareness we begin to move closer towards a calma state.

LEANNE CLANCEY

Leanne first came to Yoga in the early 90’s as a typically hormonal teenager and was instantly impressed by its soothing and balancing effects.

Regular practice over several years in the Iyengar tradition deepened her practice and in 2001 she then spent time studying intensively at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, South India. Leanne completed her yoga teacher training in 2005 at the Australian Institute of Yoga Therapy (CAE). In 2006 she completed further training with renowned US restorative yoga authority Judith Lasater. Leanne currently runs classes at the East Melbourne Library and with various private and corporate clients throughout the inner city.

APPROACH

Leanne’s teaching approach is a gentle but dynamic Hatha style inspired by her training at the AIYT. The focus is on strengthening the relationship with our body and mind - moving with the breath, encouraging physical awareness and aligning with a calm, meditative energy. Classes are suitable for all ages and abilities.
Variations are given for each pose so that students can work at a level they are  most comfortable with. Private One-on-One sessions are thoughtfully tailored to suit your individual needs and goals.
